About
GUPT is a self-hosted, end-to-end encrypted privacy suite built on Nostr relays. A privacy-first alternative to Telegram, Signal, WhatsApp, and Discord — that also replaces your password manager, notes app, and bookmarks. Everything is encrypted on your device before it ever leaves it. Relays only store and forward ciphertext, and your identity is a cryptographic keypair you control — not an account someone else can log, suspend, or subpoena. No servers, no accounts, no phone numbers. - Chat: encrypted DMs and groups with replies, reactions, and mentions - Calls: peer-to-peer WebRTC voice, video, and screen sharing - Passwords: encrypted logins with TOTP / 2FA codes and tags - Notes: private Markdown notes with search and tags - Bookmarks: encrypted page saves with the gupt-mark bookmarklet - Secure Share: ephemeral encrypted file and text links — no account needed to open
Changelog
New gupt-sdk bot framework for building encrypted bots with encrypted file support, an in-app public bot directory, invite QR code scanning, relay scoring for smarter relay selection, multiple chat attachments, and a much lighter footprint from fetching IPFS content via originless gateways.
