About
PeaZip is a free, Open Source (LGPLv3) archive manager utility for BSD, Linux, macOS and Windows. Cross-platform, desktop-agnostic GUI archive manager based on Open Source technologies of 7-Zip / p7zip, Zstandard, Brotli, ZPAQ, PEA, and other Free Software file compression tools, alternative to 7-Zip, Engrampa, FileRoller, Keka, WinRar, WinZip and similar apps. Create, convert, open and extract 7Z, Brotli, BZip2, GZip, PEA, RAR, TAR, XZ, ZIP, ZPAQ, Zstd files, and many more (200+) archive formats. The integrated file manager provides bookmarking, tabbed browsing, search, instant content filter, duplicate files detection, and text, hex, and image viewers. PeaZip supports encryption / decryption of archives, with optional two factor authentication, and its scripting engine makes easy to export the tasks defined in the GUI as CLI scripts.
