Whatsie is a native Linux desktop wrapper for WhatsApp Web, built on Qt and QtWebEngine. It brings WhatsApp out of the browser tab and into a proper desktop application with system integration, privacy controls, and customization options unavailable in a plain browser. Core features: Additional settings: - Light and Dark themes with automatic OS-level switching - Custom in-app notification popups and native system notifications - Built-in download manager - Spell checker with support for 31 languages - App lock with PIN protection and configurable auto-lock timeout - Global keyboard shortcuts - Per-session audio mute and notification suppression - Do-not-disturb mode - Configurable notification popup timeout - Minimize to system tray on start or window close - Custom user-agent string and zoom control
